Nigella Seeds - Miss Jekyll

CA$4.00
Sold Out

This variety of Nigella is beautiful fresh and dried and provides an unusual splash of powdery blue in the flower patch. The seeds pods are also one of my favourite dried ingredients for designing in the colder months. Its a cute addition to a cottage style garden and super fun to grow because the flowers develop so quickly. While Nigella seeds are edible and delicious, the bloom itself is toxic to humans and should not be consumed.

Direct sow every three weeks from when the soil can be worked until mid-summer for blooms from spring into fall. With pruning, Nigella will bloom right up until the first frost, but it’s tempting to let it go to seed because the seed pods are so neat. Plant seeds Space plants about 8” apart for taller stems. Plants will produce more flowers in full sun and prefer well drained areas. Water consistently for lots of blooms.

Approximately 30 seeds

All of our seeds are organically grown and open pollinated in Qualicum Beach, BC

I can’t describe how special this day was and how much these people mean to me. What an honour it was to be there with flowers, this family is made of love and I am endlessly grateful.
