Cosmos Bipinnatus

These unusual cosmos flower in bright orange and a lovely golden yellow all summer long. The prolific plants produce dozens of edible flowers per week by late summer when properly pruned. These delicious blooms will reach 3" in diametre with ideal conditions.

How to grow cosmos: Plant 2” apart. ½” deep - thin to 10” apart. Start indoors in late winter and plant out after the first frost, or direct sow after the first frost. Snip top of plant off when three sets of true leaves emerge, continue this practice for the life of the plant, letting flowers bloom and then snipping each stem to within three sets of leaves from the base of the stem. This encourages branching plants up to 6’ tall which will produce more and more blooms until first frost. Cosmos grows best in fertile, well drained soils in full sun.

Approximately 40 seeds

All of our seeds are open pollinated and organically grown in Qualicum Beach, BC

I can’t describe how special this day was and how much these people mean to me. What an honour it was to be there with flowers, this family is made of love and I am endlessly grateful.
